U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh is pleased to announce the 2020 EducationUSA Fairs in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. With support from U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh, EducationUSA Cambodia organized these fairs to highlight U.S. educational and exchange opportunities for Cambodian students. The fairs provide a unique venue for Cambodians to connect with representatives from U.S. institutions of higher education and learn about the advantages of receiving a U.S. university education.
The EducationUSA Fair will take place in Siem Reap on Monday, March 2, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Somadevi Angkor Resort & Spa. The EducationUSA Fair in Phnom Penh is scheduled on Tuesday March 3, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 pm in the Grand Ballroom of the Cambodiana Hotel.
Around 20 representatives from U.S. colleges and universities will be available to speak with Cambodian students about degree programs, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities in the United States. Other exhibitors at the fairs will provide information about student visas, U.S. government exchange programs, and EducationUSA advising.
All Cambodian high school and university students with an interest studying at a higher education institution in the United States are welcome to attend. Parents of students are encouraged to participate.
U.S. Embassy Chargé d’ Affaires Michael Newbill, and H.E. Youk Ngoy, Secretary of State for Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, are expected to inaugurate and tour the fair in Phnom Penh on March 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Members of the media who wish to cover the visit should arrive at the Grand Ballroom of the Cambodiana Hotel by 1:30 p.m.
