Event: Victory Day Traffic Disruptions – January 7, 2023
Please be advised that in observance of Victory Over Genocide Day, a large event has been planned near central Phnom Penh tomorrow, January 7, from 6:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m. The event will take place on Diamond Island (Koh Pich) at Koh Pich Theater, and over 60,000 participants are expected to attend. Authorities will close roads in the surrounding areas and increased traffic congestion is likely. American citizens in Phnom Penh are advised to avoid this area and adjust their travel plans accordingly during this time.

- Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive security alerts and make it easier to locate you in an emergency.
- Exercise extra vigilance at events and locations with large crowds.
