The Cambodian government has announced a 14-day prohibition on all travel between provinces in response to the current COVID-19 outbreak. This prohibition is effective starting 12:00 a.m. April 7 (midnight tonight) until April 20, 2021. This prohibition is applicable to travel between all provinces, except for travel between Phnom Penh and Kandal province. Travel to seek medical attention in personal vehicles (up to four people) and ambulances are exempt from this travel prohibition. All tourism sites will also be closed during this period.
Individuals who violate these measures may be subject to punishment in accordance with recent laws implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
American citizens are advised to reconsider all inter-province travel in Cambodia, and are advised to closely monitor any announcements by the Cambodian government regarding further details about travel restrictions and road closures.
