CDA Julie Chung Gave Remarks and Helped Cut the Ribbon at the Opening of Starbucks’ Flagship Store

Phnom Penh
October 7, 2016

More U.S. companies are choosing to invest in Cambodia. For example, Starbucks just opened its third location in the country – the company’s flagship store on Street 57 in Phnom Penh’s BKK1 neighborhood.

Chargé d’affaires (CDA) Julie Chung joined Minister of Commerce H.E. Pan Sorasak and other special guests for today’s ribbon-cutting ceremony. “This store is more than just a place for coffee and conversation,” CDA Chung said. “This opening also represents the incredible economic progress Cambodia has made.” For full remarks, visit http://go.usa.gov/xkYGE.

This latest expansion illustrates the growing potential of business and investment of Cambodia. The United States will continue to look for more economic partnerships to bring people in our two countries together…and Starbucks Frappuccinos, lattes, and more are great ways to do this!
