Cloth Women’s Sanitary Pad and Eco Life Projects win YSEALI Seeds for the Future Grant competition

Congratulations to team Green Lady, with members Hok Sovanvotey, Mak Sovannaret, and Bui Thi Minh Ngoc, and Eco Life Cambodia, with members Krech Srey Neang, Sokh Chivorn, and Sam Leakna, who were selected from Cambodia as winners in the 2017 YSEALI Seeds for the Future Grant competition!

Green Lady, a project to introduce an environmentally-friendly, cloth women’s sanitary pad, and Eco Life Cambodia, which wants to make Cambodia a hub for eco-entrepreneurship, were chosen from a pool of nearly 400 applications from across the region.

They will join 18 other groups that represent each of the 10 ASEAN member states in implementing their projects, which all aim to improve their communities through civic engagement, economic development, education, and environmental protection.

The YSEALI Seeds for the Future program is sponsored by the U.S. State Department and is funded through a grant from the U.S. Mission to Asean (USASEAN).
