Summary: The U.S. Mission in Cambodia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Dispatcher for the General Services Office, Department of State.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Supervisory Position: No
Duties: The incumbent is responsible for first line supervisory responsibility over the Motor Pool staff and reports directly to the Motor Pool Supervisor. S/he reviews and advises the Motor Pool Supervisor concerning chauffeur’s/driver’s performance.
Qualifications and Evaluations
EDUCATION: Completion of high school is required.
Must have and maintain a valid type “B” driver’s license (a copy of local driver’s license must be provided in the email of application).
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in managing motor pool operations and as dispatcher or related experience (including chauffeur experience) is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of vehicle maintenance operations (preventive and corrective), security and safety procedures for vehicle driving (offensive/defensive), and staff management techniques.
LANGUAGE: Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English and Khmer are required. (This will be tested.)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work with electronic spreadsheet software (Excel) and Microsoft documents.
Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.

* IMPORTANT: Applicants who claim status as a preference-eligible U.S. Veteran must submit a copy of their most recent DD-214 (“Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty”), equivalent documentation, or certification. A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
