The Public Affairs Section at the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh will host an information session on the recruitment for the 2018-2020 English Access Microscholarship Program in Cambodia. The information session will be held at the American Center of the U.S. Embassy on March 29, 2018 from 15:00 p.m. to 16:00 p.m. This information session will help prepare interested potential implementing partners for the English Access Microscholarship Program (Access) application process. This year, the Embassy is looking for new potential implementing partners in Prey Veng province and Phnom Penh. To be eligible for consideration, every applicant must be currently engaged in an English language teaching program. Both governmental and non-governmental organizations are eligible to apply for this program.
The English Access Microscholarship Program (Access) is a global program supported by the U.S. Department of State. Access provides a foundation of English language skills to talented 13-20 year-olds from economically disadvantaged backgrounds through a two-year program of after-school classes and intensive sessions. Access gives participants English skills that may lead to better jobs and educational prospects. Since its inception in 2004, over 115,000 students in more than 80 countries have participated in the Access Program, including more than 1,200 in Cambodia.
Registration:
To attend the information session, interested candidates are invited to email a short paragraph about their school/organization and stating why they are suitable for this program to the Public Affairs Section at PASExchange@state.gov no later than March 25, 2018. Only short-listed participants will be notified by the Public Affairs Section to confirm your registration in the information session.
