U.S. Ambassador to Cambodia William Heidt will participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony to launch the new American Center at the U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh. The Center will host a variety of programs including an English Club, Film Club, Book Club, and speakers on various topics. The Center will also house EducationUSA advising services, which offers free, unbiased, and comprehensive information about educational institutions in the United States and guidance to qualified individuals on how best to access those opportunities.
Formerly known as the Information Resource Center, the American Center contains more than 1,500 books, magazines, audio books and documentary films on a variety of subjects, and research databases for students and the general public. Officials from the American Center and EducationUSA will be available to speak with the media during the ceremony.

The launching ceremony of the Center will take place on Tuesday, February 27, at 10:30 am.
