U.S. Marines with Headquarters Regiment, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, stationed in Okinawa, Japan, will partner with members of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, including the Royal Gendarmerie, to conduct exercise Royal Preah Khan from January 12-23.  Royal Preah Khan is a bilateral exchange exercise between Cambodia and the United States that strengthens the relationship between the two nations to ensure the ability for rapid contingency response in support of humanitarian assistance and disaster response.  The exercise will focus on enhancing response capabilities through staff exchange, crisis action planning, and a command post exercise.

After participating in the exercise, the U.S. Marines will also help Cambodian military education by visiting English students at the National Defense University on Jan. 27.  The Cambodian students will get the chance to improve their English by interacting with native speakers of English, and the U.S. participants will be able to learn more about Cambodia and its culture by talking to the students.
