The U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh invites members of the media to attend the screening of the award-winning documentary film “A Plastic Ocean,” a feature-length documentary that addresses the impact humans have on the environment, as well as possible solutions. The screening will take place Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at 6 p.m., at Major Cineplex, 2nd Floor, AEON Mall. The screening is by invitation only.
“A Plastic Ocean” was filmed in 20 locations around the world to document the global effects of plastic pollution and introduce workable technology and policy solutions that can, if implemented, begin to change one of mankind’s most destructive inventions. The message from this film is that change is possible, and it starts with us. More information about the film can be found here: http://plasticoceans.org.
Members of the media who wish to cover this screening are required to register with the U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section via telephone at 023-728-258 or by e-mail at Chreav@state.gov no later than Monday, March 20, at 5:00 pm.
