The U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh and EducationUSA Cambodia will jointly host the EducationUSA Fair 2016 on Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, in the Grand Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel in Phnom Penh. Sixteen representatives from U.S. colleges and universities will be available to speak with Cambodian students about degree programs, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities in the United States. Other exhibitors at the fair will provide information about student visas, U.S. government exchange programs, and EducationUSA advising service.
The fair aims to highlights U.S. government support for efforts to enhance the quality of education and expand educational and career opportunities for Cambodians. It also provides a unique venue for Cambodians to connect with U.S. institutions of higher learning and to learn about the advantages of receiving a U.S. university education.
U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Julie Chung and Under Secretary of State for Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport H.E. Lav Chhiv Eav will tour the fair starting around 5:00 p.m. Members of the media who wish to cover the event should arrive at the Grand Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel by 4:30 p.m.
