U.S. Embassy Announces Album Launch Concert for new album “Lovin’ USA: Yorn Young’s Journey Across America”

Released on December 14, 2017

The U.S. Embassy is proud to announce an album launch concert with Young Yorn this Friday, December 15, at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Cambodia-Korea Cooperation Center (CKCC). Every audience member will receive a free copy of his new album, “Lovin’ USA: Yorn Young’s Journey Across America”!

In 2013, Young Yorn participated in the U.S. musical exchange program called OneBeat, which brings together musicians from across the world to collaborate and create original music and is supported by the United States. Yorn was so inspired from that experience that he wrote eleven original Khmer songs about different American states including Minnesota, North Carolina, and Florida. This concert will unveil all eleven songs on one album for the first time. To attend the concert, there is no need to RSVP and entrance is free of charge. Media are welcome to cover the event.

Also on Friday from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m., the artist will conduct a workshop for a smaller audience about the power of music. In addition, he will share what he learned on his exchange program.

Cambodian musicians can apply for the OneBeat program starting January 8, 2018. To learn more about OneBeat, please visit: http://1beat.org/
