The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce two upcoming 2018 EducationUSA Fairs. With support from the U.S. Embassy, EducationUSA Cambodia is organizing these Fairs to highlight U.S. educational opportunities for Cambodian students. The Fairs provide a unique venue for Cambodians to connect with U.S. institutions of higher learning and to learn about the advantages of receiving a U.S. university education.
The first ever EducationUSA Fair in Siem Reap Province will take place on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Somadevi Angkor Resort & Spa (Sivatha Blvd, Sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap). The EducationUSA Fair in Phnom Penh is scheduled for Thursday March 15, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., in the Grand Ballroom of the Great Duke Hotel (the former Intercontinental Hotel).
More than 20 representatives from U.S. colleges and universities will be available to speak with Cambodian students about degree programs, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities in the United States. Other exhibitors at the Fairs will provide information about student visas, U.S. government exchange programs, and EducationUSA advising. All Cambodian high school and university students with an interest studying at a higher education institution in the United States are welcome to attend. Parents of students are also welcome and encouraged to participate.
U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Michael Newbill and a representative from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport are expected to tour the fair in Phnom Penh on March 15 at approximately 3:00 p.m. Members of the media who wish to cover the visit should arrive at the Grand Ballroom of the Great Duke Hotel by 2:30 p.m.
