On the morning of November 9th the Embassy watched as Donald Trump was elected President of the United States with well over 100 guests from the Cambodian government, private and NGO sector aswell as academia. Several media outlets covered the event.
The atrium of the Embassy was packed by the time the live election results from Twitter and CNN shown victory of Donal Trump. Ambassador Heidt called the election a celebration of the democratic process.
Guests enjoyed American food, cast votes in a mock election, and participated in a trivia contest about U.S. Presidential history.
