U.S. Helps to Prevent Heritage Crime

The U.S. Embassy brings together U.S. experts and a diverse group of Cambodian professionals including law enforcement, museologists, tourism, archaeologists, architects for a workshop on “Cultural Heritage Site: Reducing Theft and Loss of Cultural Artifacts.”

The workshop utilizes lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and field exercises to teach the principles and practices of physical security for cultural heritage sites.

The workshop is supported by the U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and aimed to provide technical assistance in cultural resource management and security to Cambodia by training diverse professionals in the methodology and application of theft and loss reduction.
