U.S. Independence Day is on July 4, but the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh hosted its official celebration this week at the Intercontinental Hotel. Nearly 800 guests attended this year’s reception, including guest of honor Senior Minister in Charge of Special Projects H.E. Ly Thuch.
The program began with the presentation of the colors by the U.S. Embassy Marine Corps Detachment and the national anthems of Cambodia and the United States. Entertainment was provided by MC2, and American food and drinks, like beer, pizza, and doughnuts, were served.
