World Intellectual Property Day Forum: “Innovation – Improving Lives”

The U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh, in conjunction with Westec Media Ltd, has organized a forum in honor of World Intellectual Property Day.  The forum will highlight this year’s World IP Day theme, “Innovation- Improving Lives.”

The forum will take place at Cambodiana Hotel on April 25, 2017, starting at 8:30 a.m. and will feature remarks from Julie Chung, deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy and a representative for H.E. Pan Sorasak, minister of Commerce.  The moderator will be H.E. Sok Siphana, advisor to the Royal Government of Cambodia.

Panelists will include representatives of Cambodia’s entertainment and technology industries, government officials, and other key IPR stakeholders.  The topics of the two panel discussions will be: “IP’s Impact Across Sectors” and “IPR Enforcement, Resources, and Best Practices.”

The speakers will be available for questions from the media during a break in the program.
